The construction “Turning of the 4th Overburden Section in Doly Bílina” ensures conveyance of overburden from the 4th section in the Bílina Mines (Doly Bílina), excavated using the KU 800 excavator (or K 2000 excavator), through a new conveying track leading to the Bílina Mines inner dump along the northern slopes of the Mines. The conveying technology consists of the existing belt conveyors with conveying width of 2,000 mm and 1,800 mm and the crawler tripper car.

The scope of realized reconstructions and repairs of the mechanical part of the driving stations for conveyors PD 500, PD 302, PD 501, PD 801, and PD 513 was individually determined for individual driving stations with respect to their concrete technical design and employment in the conveying line. In general, the following was executed within the framework of modernization: reconstruction of drives and driving drums, reconstruction of tensioning mechanism, installation of a new leading part with the second tensioning mechanism, modification of the conveying line in the driving station, overhaul of dust belt tensioning, replacement of mechanisms of sensors and limit switches, repair and modification of steel structures.

The construction “Overburden Section 2.A in Doly Bílina” ensures reconstructions, modernizations, and repairs of the existing belt conveyors mounted on the southern conveyance of the Bílina Mines overburden. The large-scale excavator is the existing KU 800 (K105). The conveying line runs into the conveyor PD 711 of the conveying line K99.

The scope of realized reconstructions and repairs of the mechanical part of the driving stations for conveyors PD 506, PD 504, and PD 502 was as follows: replacements and reconstructions of drives and replacement of driving drums, reconstruction of tensioning mechanism, installation of a new leading part with the second tensioning mechanism, replacement of mechanisms of sensors and limit switches, repair and modification of steel structures, reconstruction of the reversing station, reconstruction of the railway travelling charging hopper.

Within the framework of the 4th overburden section – south, the same scope of reconstructions and modernizations was carried out for the driving stations of conveyors PD 503, PD 516, PD 517.

Installation of the leading part with the tensioning mechanism and reconstruction of tensioning winches made it possible for all the conveyors in the mentioned phases to use these driving stations with a PA type conveyor belt installed up to length of approx. 1,500 m.
